Your invitation to get involved with the Sector Sustainability Program

You are invited to get involved and participate by nominating for the Sector Sustainability Program Governance Committee (formal) or expressing your interest to participate in the Sector Sustainability Program Sounding Board (informal).

Nominate by 4 August

Sector Sustainability Program Governance Committee (formal group)

We are now seeking nominations from the sector and government for the Sector Sustainability Program Governance Committee to be chaired by Devin Bowles, the CEO of the ACT Council of Social Service.

To nominate, review the Terms of Reference and complete the form [PDF 227KB] [Word 52KB] then email through to the Community-Based Project Lead susan.helyar@act.gov.au

Express your interest by 11 August

Sector Sustainability Program Sounding Board (informal group)

We are now also seeking expressions of interest from non-government organisation Board members, workforce representatives, people who work in peak bodies, community voice organisations and consumer representative bodies, and people with expertise in community development for the Sector Sustainability Program Sounding Board.

This less formal Board will strengthen the understanding of the Project Co-Leads of stakeholder expectations and strengthen the design and delivery of project activities.

Facilitated by the Community-Based Project Lead, members of the Sounding Board can help inform, interrogate, expand perspectives, and represent core constituencies for the Program.

This Board does not have a limit in size and members are not obliged to respond to invitations to contribute but if they do contribute they will strengthen the understanding of the Project Co-Leads of stakeholder expectations and strengthen the design and delivery of project activities.

To express your interest for the Sounding Board email the Community-Based Project Lead susan.helyar@act.gov.au.

Getting involved from the ACT Government

The Sector Sustainability Program will influence many aspects of the way that the ACT Government interacts with and funds the NGO Sector. Some of the work will be around the opportunities that government may have to streamline engagements, contracts, reporting and processes with the sector.

We welcome your thoughts about what some of those efficiencies or streamlining activities could be and your input to various of the projects described above.

If you would like to know more, please reach out to ACT Government Lead Fiona May via Teams.
