Application

At its core, commissioning is about working together to support our community to achieve the outcomes that they want for themselves and their families, enabling positive long-term wellbeing.

Commissioning is focused on building strong relationships that change the way government and the non-government sectors partner to deliver services and achieve positive outcomes for our community. This contrasts with the more standard, transactional approach which, for the most part, does not involve sector partners or people with lived experience in service and system design.

Informed by commissioning practices, evidence, and learnings from across Australia and internationally, the government and the non-government sector worked together to develop the commissioning approach for the ACT.
