Your invited to a virtual information session for potential community and health sector tenderers on Tuesday 9 May 2023 from 11.00am – 12.00PM.
Hear from a representative from the Secure Local Jobs Registrar and get your questions answered. This session will be recorded and available on-demand.
We want to ensure Canberrans are supporting Canberrans. The community and health sector is a significant employer in the ACT and we are working to ensure the sector is sustainable, diverse and responsive through the Sector Sustainability Program.
At the same time, each government investment of over $200,0000 is an opportunity to ensure we secure jobs and employment for Canberrans.
The Code applies to government investments over $200,000 with any organisation that has an Australian Business Number (ABN) that includes non-government organisations, sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies.
When responding to tenders for community or health services, you may need a Code Certificate that confirms your organisation meets the standards of the Secure Local Jobs Code. Without a Code Certificate, we may not be able to accept your tender or quote.
You may also need to complete a Labour Relations, Training and Workplace Equity Plan in consultation with your employees for cleaning, security or traffic management if the value of work to your organisation is more than $25,000 per year.
To register for the information session please email ACTHousingProcurement@act.gov.au and a calendar invite will be sent to you.
