Case study: Commissioning for mental health

We have just released a great case study on how commissioning is shaping a mental health non-government service system where Canberrans can be supported with the right mental health services and supports at the right place, in the right time.

Mental health and wellbeing is important for all Canberrans, whether they have a diagnosed mental illness, or not. Mental health is also a service need that arises across multiple commissioning cycles such as homelessness, alcohol and drug treatment and youth services.

The commissioning approach is different with the team establishing an Advisory Group, extending the collaboration timeframes, and already identifying service improvement opportunities that could reduce competing and overlapping mental health services in the ACT.
