2018 Audrey Fagan Young Women’s Enrichment Grant Recipients


Miss Freia Huber

Miss Freia Huber plans to develop her skills as a solo artist and flautist, complete her 4th grade AMEB flute exam in 2019. She also plans to join the James McCusker Orchestra to develop ensemble flute playing skills. Her grant will also go to purchasing a quality flute for her exams.

Miss Caitlyn Crick

Miss Caitlyn Crick aims to put her grant towards training on powered aircraft as well as gliding. She hopes to achieve her first solo flight before her sixteenth birthday. This will contribute to her long term goal of becoming a career pilot.

Miss Jasmine Winborn

Miss Jasmine Winborn intends to use the grant money to undertake a Companion Animal Services Certificate III at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) in 2019. Jasmine has a long term career goal of working with animals.

Ms Cameron Butler

Ms Cameron Butler plans to use her grant money to attend courses through the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in acting to provide her with pre-entry experience for future enrolment into NIDA.

Ms Dhani Gilbert

Ms Dhani Gilbert will use her grant to engage with master weavers and her mentor to learn the art of weaving and culturally competent group facilitation and community building skills. Then apply this training and development to establish and lead opportunities for young Aboriginal women to meet and share with other students traditional weaving skills in school environments.
