2020 - Long-Term Advocate and for the Rights of Women with Disability
Dianne is a long-term advocate and for the rights of women with disability. She is a founding member of Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT), volunteering as a bookkeeper to look after the organisation’s finances in its early days.
Dianne believes strongly in the importance of equal access to employment for women with disability. Having worked for a number of non-government organisations, she now continues to promote inclusive and equal opportunity employment in her retirement, most notably through the Canberra Business Chamber’s Inclusion Employment Project.
Dianne was nominated as a finalist in the 2018 Lesley Hall Lifetime Achievement Award, in the inaugural National Awards for Disability Leadership.
