Francesca Maclean

2017 - ACT Young Woman of the Year

Francesca Maclean helps women and girls in the ACT pursue Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) education, with a focus on women at university who are looking for tools and support to prepare for the workforce.

She mentors several younger women through the Curious Minds program for high school students, the Fifty50 First Year Female Program (Australian National University (ANU) students), and Peer Support Program (at risk female ANU students).

She founded the Fifty50 in 2015 which assists in helping female STEM students actively and equitably participate in STEM careers. This group has grown in the number of female students targeted and initiatives.
