Child and Family Centres

You can get help and advice to support your child’s health, wellbeing, learning and development.

Services

Most services are for families with children up to 8. Some services are for children up to 12.

You can get help before and after the birth of a child.

Families and carers can get free:

  • parenting support and advice
  • child development assessments with the Child Development Service
  • referrals to other health, wellbeing and support services
  • help from a qualified social worker
  • playgroups and parenting groups.

When you visit us

You’ll be met by one of our caring and welcoming staff. We’ll help you find the services you need and talk with you about how we can support you.

You can get a tea or coffee, use the parent’s room and the children’s play spaces.
