About the service
Women’s Information is a free service provided by the ACT Office for Women, to empower women and their families by helping them to access relevant and timely information to make choices that impact on their quality of life.
Women’s Information staff will work in a respectful and transparent manner to:
- Provide information on available options;
- Respect the right of women to select the options that meet their individual needs; and
- Assist women to link in to the options that they select.
Women’s Directory Online is an entry point to a wealth of current information about government and non-government programs and services of interest to women in the ACT. Women can readily access information at their own convenience on a range of matters such as: legal, health, accommodation, education, employment, financial, and childcare.
The online What’s on for Women Calendar provides information about upcoming and ongoing events. Check out the Calender for courses, events, information sessions and support group programs.
Appointments can be made with a Women’s Information Officer from Monday to Friday at 11 Moore Street, Canberra.
Appointments can also be made at one of the following locations:
- Tuggeranong Child and Family Centre
- West Belconnen Child and Family Centre
- Gungahlin Child and Family Centre
