Applications are now open and close on Monday 14 August 2017.

The program is designed to help Canberrans from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds enter the workforce. It provides opportunity for people to improve employment skills and confidence, and develop important networks within the ACT Public Service.

New council to give stronger voice to Canberra’s multicultural communities

Nominations have closed.

An ACT Government 2016 election commitment, the Council will give members of Canberra’s culturally diverse communities’ opportunities to take a leading role in participation and consultation on issues which affect their lives.

The Council will also act as a conduit to the Minister on the views of members of culturally diverse communities, while raising awareness of the aspirations, needs and concerns of culturally diverse communities, within government and the community.

Multicultural Framework and Action Plan 2015- 2020

The ACT Multicultural Framework and Action Plan 2015- 2020 - was developed through an extensive community consultation process. It draws on the ideas and initiatives of hundreds of people across the city - everyday Canberrans as well as community leaders.
