Changes to How People Get Their Needs Met

The  ACT Government prepared for the NDIS by examining how services and supports  could best be delivered under an individualised, market based model with a  focus on increased choice and control for people with disability. To enable  community organisations to deliver a greater range of flexible support options  to meet the needs of people with disabilities, their families and carers in the  ACT, the ACT Government transitioned the respite services it ran to the  community sector.
