ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grants Programs
The aim of these grant programs is to provide funding support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for leadership training for both formal and informal development opportunities for participants and to showcase the cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the ACT community through the development of innovative projects that contribute to sustainable communities by highlighting and promoting cultural diversity and social harmony.
Total funding available across all three grant programs (Scholarship, Cultural and Leadership) is $200,000 (GST exclusive).

The ACT Government is committed to partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Canberrans to improve the wellbeing of our first peoples so that all Canberrans can participate fully in the life of our city.
The 2017-18 New and Emerging ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Organisation Support Program (NEO Support Program) is a key initiative supporting the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Agreement 2015-18 (the Agreement) Key Focus Areas of Employment and economic independence; Connecting the community; Cultural identity, Education and Leadership.
The Agreement sets out the commitment of the ACT Government, its service partners, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body, and most importantly the community, to work together to recognise and respond to the needs of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the ACT.
