Government Response to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body Hearings for 2014 and 2015

The Government Response covers the Fifth Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body Hearings held on 3 4 December 2014 and the Sixth Hearings held on 9 10 December 2015 within the third term of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body (ATSIEB or Elected Body).

The 2014 and 2015 Reports were formally handed over to the former Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs, Dr Chris Bourke MLA, on 19 August 2016 prior to the commencement of the caretaker period.

The Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs, Rachel Stephen-Smith MLA tabled the Government Response on 30 March 2017 in the Legislative Assembly.

ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Agreement 2015-18

The ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Agreement 2015-2018 sets out the commitment of the ACT Government and the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body to work together to recognise and respond to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the ACT and surrounding region and their communities.
